ABOUT

Plan B Entertainment established in 2010 as a collaboration between Jang Sunmin and western music mogul Stanley Corden. After seeing legendary girl group Girls On Top, Corden had seen the potential in the Eastern music market, especially in the Korean scene (had found it was an easy market to breech then the Japanese market). Corden knew better than to try and establish his own company in a foreign market so he searched for a partner and found it in Jang Sunmin, a wealthy heir who had tried to start his own music company but never really had the business savvy to pull it off. Pairing up they started Plan B entertainment, their initial company statement suggested that their company would give a second chance to idols who may have failed in at their first attempt at fame. In 2014 they debuted their first group, FU5IØΠ , a boy group created from idols who were signed to previous companies/promoted with other groups. The group was welcomed with a lukewarm reception , the general public seemingly put out by the western influence of the group. They did manage to gain a fandom, mostly made of solo stans who were only really focused on their favorite members. The group has been promoting for several years now but has yet to really level up from the middle tier. In 2018 Plan B debuted their second group, a girl group called 𝔠𝔥𝔵𝔰𝔦𝔯𝔢, the seven member group had both members of previous groups and Plan B trainee's. They had hoped a girl group would be better received but again Corden's influence, especially on the groups title track, left them with mixed reviews. The girls have yet to gain a steady fanbase as the company keeps drastically changing their concept. It was announced that the company will be debuting their third group, Illuminate a co-ed group who has a lot of international interest but it still remains to be seen how they do domestically.

♪FU5IØΠ

Being the first group to debut from Plan B Entertainment FU5IØΠ had a lot of pressure on them from the get go. Coming from failed or Nugu groups each member of FU5IØΠ knew just how hard and cutthroat the industry could be but the promise of a second chance with a substantially richer company, one of the CEO being considered the mastermind behind some of the biggest western groups was enough to get them back in. Their debut was met with a lukewarm reaction, mostly being put down to the general public not liking Corden's appearance in the k industry and his influence over the style of the band.None the less they established a decent fanbase placing them around the top of the mid tier boy groups. Their fanbase, unfortunately, is made up by a ton of solo stans who only care about their favourite getting his moment. Despite having several well-received comebacks they have yet to break out of the mid tier.

In 2018 Plan B Entertainment debuted their second group, a six-member girl group named 𝔠𝔥𝔵𝔰𝔦𝔯𝔢 , this time around Plan B Entertainment changed it up slightly mixing their trainee's with idols they signed from failed groups. From the get go the group has had issues the first been when a younger trainee was chosen to be the leader of the group over the more established former idols, this had caused internal issues within the group. While it seems those issues have been sorted and the group seems to be on the same page it still gets bought up frequently by knetz who are pushing the group bullies each other agenda. Musicially the group has tried various genre's and concepts but have yet to find their sound or success. They are coming back soon with their 4th comeback, many knetz are suspecting despite being barely a year old that if this comeback doesn't do well then they will disband as a way to make room for a new girl group to debut.
